Application Instructions

Official Jamberry Nails Application Instructions

1.Clean unpolished nails with alcohol wipe and push back the cuticles.
2. Match nail (finger or toe) to the nail wrap that best fits.
3. Peel off nail wrap and warm with a mini heater or blow-dryer for 3-5 seconds or until soft and flexible.
4. When warm, press the wrap onto the nail. Apply firm pressure around edges to adhere the wrap to the nail. Use rubber cuticle pusher to seal the wrap around the base of the cuticle.
5. Trim the top with scissors and file off remaining wrap using a downward motion to remove excess.
6. Apply heat and pressure to the wrap again until it is bonded to the nail.

Just like in most things in life, everyone is going to have a different experience with Jamberry Nail wraps.  We all have different sized, shaped & textured nails.  Our bodies are also different causing some nails to be more oily or brittle.  Do to all these variations, some may need an alternate method for applying their Jams.

Let me first start by telling you that the three most common mistakes when apply Jamberry Nails are...
1. Not enough heat (Don't use the lowest heat setting on your hair dryer, if you purchase a Jamberry heater, turn it on for 30 seconds or so before you plan to use it so it can heat up a bit).
2. Part of the wrap is touching skin/cuticle (You do not want it to touch any skin, the oils from your skin can cause lifting around the sides, ultimately causing them to catch on things or come off. It is ok for a sliver of nail to be showing all around - no one notices this)
3. Not cleaning their hands properly before (Make sure you nails are free of oils when you apply. I recommend using Dawn dish soap to wash your nails thoroughly before & don't touch the any part of the wrap that will sit on your nails with your fingers.)

I was fortunate enough to have some of the most difficult nails to apply wraps too.  I know you are wondering if I meant to say "unfortunate" rather than "fortunate."  I actually think this was a blessing in disguise because it has allowed me to work through many of the problems that customers might come across.  Fortunately, most customers don't have multiple issues to work through as I did.

My nails are very curved/rounded, so after learning about & trying the "baggie method" I got much better results.  This method applies even pressure around the nail as it is heated & helps prevent bubbles/creases/pleats.
